The Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of India hosted a seminar on Blue Economy, as part of the SAI20 Engagement Group. The seminar aimed to explore the sustainable use of ocean resources, and the role of government auditors in ensuring accountability and transparency in this sector. The event brought together experts and stakeholders across sectors to share insights and best practices for promoting responsible and effective management of the Blue Economy.

The seminar aimed to discuss the ethical and accountability aspects of AI, and how government auditors can ensure its responsible use. Experts and stakeholders from different spheres participated in the seminar to share their perspectives and experiences on the topic.
With India’s assumption of the G20 presidency on December 1, 2022, CAG of India, i.e., SAI India has taken over the chairmanship of SAI20. Under the guiding philosophy for India’s presidency of G20, Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam, which sees the world as “One Earth, One Family, and One Future”, the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of India proposed the collaboration of G20 SAIs on two priority areas — Responsible AI and Blue Economy.
