LKBRN, Jakarta — The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) and the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) from G20 member countries held a Senior Official Meeting (SOM). This activity was carried out for two days, 20-21 June 2022 and is a series of initiation activities for the formation of an engagement group under the G20, namely SAI20.
Head of BPK RI Isma Yatun said the high enthusiasm of SAI20 members showed commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SAI20 also plays a role in encouraging collaboration, contribution, and acceleration of post-Covid 19 economic recovery.
“SAI20 will jointly build inclusiveness and collaboration with various stakeholders, both in the auditing agency community, and the G20 community. This is to support strong and useful state financial management,” said Isma Yatun in her statement, Monday (20/6/2022).
SAI20 Senior Officials Meeting is a forum for auditing bodies (SAI) in G20 countries. Two priority issues for SAI20 are the acceleration of economic recovery and support for the achievement of sustainable development goals for the preparation of the SAI20 Communique Concept. This meeting was attended by delegates at the Director General level or the echelon I level of SAI G20 members. Countries that are physically present in Labuan Bajo include Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, those who attended virtual were Argentina, China, Korea, Mexico, South Africa, and Turkey.
